New Year's Plans

Next year I'll speak softly,
No screams and no shouts
And I'll thank my mother
When she serves Brussels Sprouts.

I'll come when I'm called
And shut off the TV.
I won't tell my brother
How dumb he might be.

I'm happy for New Year's
'Cause it always brings
A chance for a gal to
Make up these fine things.

And this time next year,
I'll think how I've been
And then I'll start writing
This list down again.

Auld Lang Syne

S
hould auld acquaintance be forgot
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and days of auld lang syne?
For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we'll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and never brought to mind?
Should auld acquaintance be forgot
and days of auld lang syne?
And here's a hand, my trusty friend
And gie's a hand o' thine
We'll tak' a cup o' kindness yet
For auld lang syne
